Five Things on November 2

created using PicMonkey.com

It’s November. Gasp! This year has really zipped by, and it seems like time is speeding up. I’m getting involved in more things and being busy is, once again, becoming a way of life. Here are five things on my mind today:

      1. Shonda Rhimes is a rock star. Can I be just like her when I grow up?! I am a fan of the TV show, Scandal. Shonda is the creator and main writer. Each week she and her staff bring the heat! There are so many twists and turns; it’s riveting. I won’t mention any spoilers or thoughts that might reveal information. However, I’m positive this season will continue to be full of shockers. And, I can’t wait. Also, congratulations to the main female actor, Kerry Washington. She’s expecting her first child as reported by Us Magazine.
      2. Laughter does the body good. I went to lunch with my coworkers to celebrate a birthday. We laughed and talked about all kinds of things – mostly work-related. Isn’t it funny how that happens. You leave work to “get away,” and you end up discussing work items. It was good to spend time with the team. We are one big family! I can always be counted on for a few “one-liners”.
      3.  Am I ready for the holidays? Yes and no. I’m ready to see my family, but not quite ready for the hectic work schedule. Last year, I was working until 2 am on the night before Thanksgiving. It happens when you work in retail. I’m hoping for earlier nights this year, but I’m prepared to roll with the punches and face the challenges.
      4. Where to go on a quick vacation? I’m planning to take a trip around the New Year’s holiday. I’m still deciding on where I want to venture. I would love to leave the United States, which means Puerto Rico or Bermuda. I’m planning to check LivingSocial Escapes and Groupon Getaways for fun options. Have you purchased a trip from either website?
      5.  I want to see a theatrical production this fall/winter. White Christmas will be at the Walton Arts Center later this month. I will check for venues in Tulsa to see what shows/plays/musicals will be there in the coming months.
This is my life at a glance. What’s on your mind this weekend?!
